{6/1/12-Carmel, CA}
I had my friends' Kaisa & Brian's 'Save the Date' magnet on my fridge for the last 6 months, and every day that I went into my kitchen to grab something from the fridge, there was a reminder that their big day was getting closer and closer. The marriage of Kaisa and Brian had been a long time coming, so you could imagine everyone's excitement to witness this couple officially tie the knot. Not only were we all thrilled to be apart of a union of a our two friends, we experienced their ceremony on the sands of Stewart's Cove in Carmel, CA. Which I have to say is one of the most beautiful, and breathtaking destinations on the West Coast. When driving from my hotel, which was located more inland in Monterey, I was completely enthralled by the enclosure of forest and nature which then led to majestic cliff sides overlooking the bright blue and turquoise waters of the ocean.
The backdrop of crashing waves could not have been more perfect for the intimate (80 guests) ceremony. The reception was held at the historical and charming Perry House located on the Monterey Peninsula. This quaint space overlooking Monterey Bay was very fitting for the amount of guests, and everything from the decor which reflected the newlywed's aesthetic down to the venue's service and hospitality was spot on, contributing to the warm atmosphere and cheery merriment. This was definitely a wonderful weekend getaway, that led to a trip to San Jose and San Francisco...stay tuned for more photos!
