{Fashion | Katya Leonovich}

The Katya Leonovich SS13 show was more abstract than what I had been seeing from other designers. Leonovich had some monochrome looks over others, but balanced out singular colors by utilizing the layering of various textures; creating dimensions and interesting shapes. I liked the prints that I did see, and it was different to see the mix of structured corsets with less structured fabrics as well as unexpected elements such as peek-a-boo layers, cut-outs, capes, and the sheerness versus  opaqueness. Also, all about the top knots and embellished leaf headbands.
