Saint Marc at Pacific City in Huntington Beach, CA

Happy Friday everyone! Say hello to my favorite restaurant in Huntington Beach; Saint Marc, which offers up Americana-inspired cuisine with a twist at the recently opened Pacific City overlooking the sprawling beaches of Surf City USA. Saint Marc is the perfect mix between traditional American dishes with innovation; take a seat in the open air pub-cafe dining area, or make a pit stop at the bakery or bacon bar (there are 11 different types of bacon). Jen and I got the chance to dine at Saint Marc this month and it was a phenomenal experience from beginning to end.

Upon being seated, there is an iPad with the entire menu for you to be able to order from. This is a great tool for categorization and visuals of the extensive menu, culinary composition, as well as clear icons of ingredients that some guests may be allergic to or do not prefer; therefore, decision making is made simple and to the point. You still have a server, known as 'ambassadors', to assist you with any questions you may have and to offer up their culinary expertise.

Many of the dishes are fantastic for sharing, and since there are no heat lamps, dishes come out immediately. There's a bit of a role reversal when it comes to drinks; wines are on tap (which keeps the integrity of the wine intact) and craft beers are in cans and can be served in red solo cups. There's also an amazing selection of cocktails, one of my fave being the Twisted Grapefruit, in which I chose a liquor, gin, to be made into a concoction and served in a grapefruit.

Jen and I shared the Swine Board (a selection of bacon & charcuterie), Veggie Crudite & Edamame Hummus, Ahi Tuna Hot Stone (we loved the presentation of this as the tuna came out on the side and was placed onto the hot stone to be seared and covered in sauce), Chicken Pot Pie (which is hearty but not too overwhelming in flavor and texture because just the top is covered in the most buttery, flakey crust), and the Saint Marc take on Beignets and Bananas Foster

Jen and I want to thank Saint Marc USA CEO Mac, Senior Director of Culinary Operations Jay, Senior Director of Operations Kent, and the entire Saint Marc USA team for making us feel welcome and spoiling us with the most delectable dishes and drinks. Jen and I will see you at brunch!
