FAQs

Q. May I take photos or video during the ceremony or reception?
A. The ceremony will be unplugged, meaning we are requesting phones and other recording devices are put away for the ceremony so you may be fully present with us and not distract guests around you (those with large recording devices or phones may be asked to be them down during the ceremony by venue staff or our photographers and videographers). Documenting is welcome once the bride and groom have been announced as a married couple and exit the altar. You are also welcome to photograph and record during cocktail hour and the reception, we encourage it and to share with us via the hashtag #hitched2hammond and #hammondtime2019 - please note that we have an entire dedicated professional photography and film staff that we have hired for our wedding and can share those photos and footage with you following the wedding day. They also will be trying to get the right angle/shot during the days’ festivities, please kindly accommodate their request if they ask you to move aside, etc.

Q. What happens if I miss the RSVP deadline?

Unfortunately, we will be unable to accommodate late RSVPs. To avoid this, please RSVP by the date listed on your RSVP & Details card of your formal invite.

Q. Are children welcome?
A. Children and babies have been included in your invite, but we encourage you to take the night off to enjoy the festivities.

Q. May I bring a date, plus 1 or additional guests?
A. Unfortunately due to our venue's capacity, we are unable to accommodate a date, plus 1 or additional guest invites that are not originally reserved for you in the formal invite.

Q. Is the wedding taking place inside or outside?
The wedding ceremony and reception are outside, uncovered. The cocktail hour will take place under a pavilion tent. And there is an inside "Marquis" area for guests to relax and mingle. If for any reason we experience rain, the ceremony and reception will be moved underneath the pavilion tent.

Q. What is the dress code?
A. Cocktail to semi formal is appropriate. If you are from the bride's family and would like to wear traditional Vietnamese garments, please feel free to do so - the bride and groom will be dressed in traditional Vietnamese wedding attire for a portion of the wedding reception. Please note that it could get cold in the evening, bring a jacket to bundle up if necessary.
EX: Spring style knee length to maxi length dresses for women, suits for men.

Q. May I bring a boxed gift to the wedding for the bride and groom?
We unfortunately won't be able to accommodate the collection of boxed/wrapped gifts other than cards. To align with Vietnamese tradition, the bride and groom will be accepting cards at a welcome table prior to the start of the ceremony, as well as spend a portion of the reception visiting each table for "chào bàn", which is a customary process of greeting guests at each table and collecting cards/gifts.

Q. I still would like to purchase a gift for the bride and groom, is there a registry?
Currently, the bride and groom have a honeymoon + future home fund. But will put together a registry for those that want to purchase gifts to be mailed/shipped to the couples' home only (as they will be unable to accept gifts other than the size of a card on the wedding day).

Q.How come there wasn't an option on the RSVP card or invite to select food preference?
We will be serving food via FOOD STATIONS - which means we will have various stations set up around the reception space in which you are free to help yourself to food when dining service starts. There will be meat and vegetarian options available.
