Macy's Prom Fashion Show at South Coast Plaza

It's that time of year where there's lots to celebrate and get dressed up for, one of them being prom! Although I would love to re-live the overly exciting high school days of  looking forward to dances like prom, sadly, those days are over! But, I got to attend

Macy's Prom

Fashion Show hosted by 'youtube millionaire' beauty vlogger Meredith Foster aka

Stilababe09

, and experienced the hottest trends in prom dresses, shoes, and accessories; all the while getting inspiration for attire for special occasions like weddings or fashion events I'll be attending this season.

I had remembered a few videos that my boyfriend's younger sister Morgan had showed me, so I mentioned this event to her and she HAD to meet Meredith. Well, so did about 300 other girls, although the overzealous and almost hysterical screams and crying were on a whole other level of teen idolization, it was nice to see that young girls are looking up to someone that promotes wearing what you love and feel good in, and being yourself! She truly is passionate about what she does (and she's only 18 years old), and loves her fans!

For the

#MacysProm

fashion show, Meredith introduced four prom trends;

Vintage Muse

,

Royal Treatment

,

Young Hollywood

, and

Prettiest in Pink

! Vintage Muse grabbed inspiration from sophisticated silhouettes, embellishments, and lace adorned styles; Royal Treatment presented floral and candy-hued dresses, fitting for a princess; Young Hollywood presented glamorous and modern red carpet ready gowns; and Prettiest in Pink was a tribute to the electrifying magenta color mixed with other elements like floral, jewels, and 80s silhouettes. Which dress or gown is your fave? I loved the

Strapless Illusion dress

from the Vintage Muse trend and the all over sparkly

Sequin Dress

from the Young Hollywood trend; both would be perfect for my next red carpet event!

I got so giddy getting to snapped a few photos of Morgan meeting Meredith! Aren't they both adorable?!
