Boho Palm Springs Summer Style

I'm finally able to share some pics from my trip to Palm Springs a few weekends back to celebrate my birthday. I've experienced a range of heat environments, but the thing with Palm Springs is that the heat is incredibly heavy (not humid) and dry - you just feel like you're standing directly under the sun. For the first day, I tried styling a look that I'd be comfortable in, but also had a boho flair to it. I had received this pretty The Bead Act choker and cowskull tank from photographer and artist Rachel Deeb - she had designed the graphic on the tank. I paired both pieces with some distressed shorts, a hat, (my new fave daily + travel) crossbody bag and fringe booties. The hat helped to shade the sun from my face and although I was baring a bit of skin, I didn't feel that my look was revealing too much as it was a typical tank and shorts combo. The outfit also allowed me feel less sticky as I had to apply and re-apply sunscreen and it's just easier to wear sun protection if my arms and legs are unrestricted. You can shop this look below:
