{Chinese Cuisine}

 {a restaurant in Shanghai}

My meals in China consisted of either too bland, too salty, or too spicy dishes. And usually there was too much food served since we were eating "Family Style", sharing amongst 8 people. For the most part, the meals included some type of fish, egg soup, something fried, something doused in sauce(s), and vegetables. Because I was on a tour, we were taken to places that were designed(gigantic banquet halls) to overproduce dishes in order to accomodate the influx of travelers...and somewhere in between the tourists frenzy....the flavor was lost. I was fortunate enough to get to taste the true flavors of Chinese cuisine when venturing on my own, away from the tour group. And even more fortunate that I had a strong stomach throughout the entire trip.
