{Fancy Fringe Streamers}

{Fun & Easy Party Streamers that you can DIY}
Awhile back, my friend Angel hosted a Baby's Gender Reveal Party for the bun she's got cooking in her oven. She picked the gender neutral colors of yellow and orange for her party, and really wanted these crepe fringe streamers that she had found on Oh Happy Day. Because we couldn't get actual sheets of crepe paper in time for the party (apparently craft stores do not sell crepe paper in sheet form), we had to settle with crepe party streamers, which I found at Party City. I grabbed 3 colors; light yellow, sunshine yellow, and orange. I got 2 big rolls(500 ft) in  the sunshine yellow and orange, and 2 regular rolls (81ft) in the light yellow. It ended up working out pretty well since the crepe paper was already cut into streamers and all I had to do was cut slits into the streamers to create a fringe effect. This DIY is for pre-cut streamers, if you want to learn how to make the fringe streamers from sheets of crepe paper...go here! I spent about $10 for the streamers, and the entire project took me about an hour and a half to complete all of the fringe that is pictured below!
What You Need:
-Crepe Paper(streamers) & preferably 3-4 different colors
You can order crepe paper sheets or streamers from Dick Blick
of from Party City, any party supply store
-Scissors
***Make sure that you purchase CREPE paper not Tissue paper!
Pick which color you want to begin with, and start to unroll the the streamer roll.
After rolling out approx. 2ft of the streamer, fold the streamer on top of each other, do not press down on the creases, you don't want indents on the streamers
A profile view of what the folds should look like
Cut along the folded streamers in approximately 1cm, even increments

When finished on one side, flip over and cut along the other side
Repeat Step 2. and make sure the folds do not overlap with the already cut fringe
Then, repeat Steps 4.-6. until you have the amount of fringe streamers desired
