Fashion | NYFW Christian Siriano

Christian Siriano's Autumn/Winter 2013 Ready-to-Wear collection was in one word; exquisite. Whether embellished in ornate details, fur, or simply plain with a feminine silhouette; I absolutely loved each and every piece that came down that runway. Apologies for the side shot of the models! You can view front on shots on Christian Siriano's site by clicking on 'Collections' then '2013 Autumn Winter ' or on The Cut! Siriano's collection was 'inspired by the golden age of the Russian Opera. The lavish interiors of Saint Petersburg's Mariinsky Theatre inspired me to begin work on this glamorous and opulent collection, rich with sophisticated shapes, gilded and embossed fabrications, and deep jewel-toned colors. An evening at the opera was on my mind when I was designing, and I imagined what these women attending would wear and how they might style each look together for fall. There are whispers of Russian military details and you can really see all this come together in the shoes  -- they are very regal and royal with a 1880s influence, but modern and powerful for today's sexy woman." -Christian Siriano
As a designer, I definitely saw Siriano's vision and inspirations come to life, and I want it all! The designs from this runway show will inspire the Fall '13 Christian Siriano for Payless Gold collection, due in Payless stores and Payless.com in Sept. this year! Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend, what are you all doing this weekend anyway?
