Swimwear Trends for Summer 2014

Last Friday, I attended a fashion workshop (for FIDM students) featuring summer 2014 swimwear at the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort.Women's Swimwear trends featured versatile no-tie bikinis that are easy for fun in the sand and surf; neon colors; patterns inspired by exotic destinations like Bali; retro waistlines; fringe and crochet details; reversibility; coordinating and stylish rash guards; chic coverups that translate to street wear seamlessly; and multi-functional straps allowing for the bikini wearer to play around with a range of ways to tie.
Men's Swimwear trends included trunks with vintage and retro prints, scalloped hems, pops of neon, elastic and tie waistbands.
