While styling for
Melissa Leonette's East to West Music Video down in Rosarito, Mexico late August; the team got to check out Popotla Beach via private neighborhood access during sunset. It was in one word, mesmerizing. As I stood on the cliff side watching the sun sink into the horizon, all I could hear were the waves majestically crashing, feel the wind blowing against my face and the overwhelming sense of peace, calmness, and serenity. Returning to my hotel, I felt rejuvenated and full of creative energy; ready to style up a storm for the next few days. With so much (that's an understatement) happening these days: web content and social media work, planning events, modeling, photographing, writing, connecting and collaborating with others, styling shoots, blogging, attending events, preparing for LA Fashion week coverage, and most importantly organizing fashion magazine,
Alpha/Omega, that my friend Andrew and I are planning to launch Spring/Summer 2015; it has been exciting but also frustrating. Yesterday was a bit of a breaking point for me, so I sat for a moment, disconnected from the technology and buzz and thought about this time that I stood on the cliffs of Popotla Beach, feeling so at ease and it instantly set me straight. I am ready to tackle what's ahead, and can you believe it's already Fall?! What are you most looking forward to this season?
