Visiting the View from the Shard - Cocktail Package
We’ve been told several times to visit the Shard, and so for this trip to London we decided to try to get tickets. We ordered tickets online for a visit a few days out and were able to purchase an “Essential ticket” which included a cocktail or mocktail up to £18 (this now looks like the ticket includes a moet champagne instead of a cocktail/mocktail - updated 2/3/22).
We enjoyed 360° views of London from the city’s tallest skyscraper, the Shard - it’s 800ft high and you take in the views from at the 72nd floor/sky observation deck! It felt safe enough when we went - everyone stayed masked and people were not overly crammed into the lift.
We could freely move between the 69th floor to the 72nd open air observation deck. Although the observation deck was quite nippy and the bar couldn’t make cocktails until the light drizzle stopped, we were able to warm up on the 69th floor and order our cocktails there. It was quite a cloudy day, but the views were still epic! We were able to catch the Tower Bridge, the London Eye and here’s a list of the other landmarks you can see.
