Wearing Tweed Plaid for Fall

When I think of plaid of houndstooth patterns, I’m immediately transformed to fall and the movie Clueless (hello Cher and DIonne’s iconic plaid sets). This tweed skirt I actually picked up while visiting Osaka, Japan; I love how versatile it is and it pairs well with the white button down, sweaters or a combo vest/button down shirt like this look below. For a younger look, I completed the look with a pair of Nike sneakers, would also be cute with a pair of chucks. If I wanted to not be as casual, I can wear mary janes, booties or combat boots.

When it gets cooler, I can throw over a faux leather jacket or wool coat and finish the look with taller boots. I can also change up the look even more by adding an oversized knit or sweater on top of the skirt so that the tweed plaid peeks out from underneath the sweater and wear with a pair of heels for the holiday season!
